When All Hell Breaks Loose: Stuff You Need To Survive When Disaster Strikes
Survival expert Cody Lundin's new book, When All Hell Breaks Loose: Stuff You Need To Survive When Disaster Strikes is what every family needs to prepare and educate themselves about survival psychology and the skills necessary to negotiate a disaster whether you are at home, in the office, or in your car. This is not your father's scout manual or a sterile FEMA handout. It entertains as it informs, describing how to maximize a survival mind-set necessary for self-reliance. According to the book, living through an emergency scenario is 90 percent psychology, and 10 percent methodology and gear. Relevant quotes and tips are placed throughout the pages to help readers remember important survival strategies while under stress and anxiety. Lundin also addresses basic first aid and hygiene skills and makes recommendations for survival kit items for the home, office, and car.

Be prepared for any eventuality! What should you do if stuck in a blizzard? What's the best way to react during an earthquake? What strategies will help you to survive in a life or death situation? The Collins Gem Disaster Survival Guide provides advice on what to do in the event of a range of natural, civil, and terrorist disasters. This book not only covers personal safety, but also explores how the safety of children, seniors, and the disabled can best be achieved in differing, and difficult circumstances. Anyone know of any good disaster survival games similar to Disaster Report and Raw Danger?
Disaster Report is about surviving after an earthquake hits a city and Raw Danger, the sequel, is about surviving a flood. I was wondering if there are other survival games like these
BQ-What is your favorite game you've ever played?
Some good survival games
Ideas for a natural disaster survival kit?
Also, how long does a bottle of water last? Forever?
Check with your local Red Cross. Also water will keep for a decent amount of time if the correct conditions are observed, but not forever. Clean, preferably distilled water in a sealed container with quality preservatives lasting 5yrs is not unreasonable. - David
